The Voice: la plus belle voix is a reality singing competition. There are four popular singers who are also coaches and they train their talents in a  group and sometimes perform with them. They choose their talents through blind auditions then eliminate as the show goes on.

Seyolo Zantoko, the main character, earned his degree at a French Medical school and was the only African male in his class to do so. He then started searching for jobs as a doctor and was offered a position, working as a doctor for the president of Zaire. In fear of the corruption in his country, he declined this offer. Later, he was offered a job as a physician in the small town of Marly-Gomont in France.
